Uniquely You

Unique. Original. One-of-a-kind. Through style we can express who we are and why we are.
All of my life, I have found fashion as an outlet. For a while, I succumbed to the styles that were "popular" at the time. I always wanted to be in line with the new trends, and I NEVER wanted to be caught dead wearing something that was "so last year". My style was a reflection of what I saw my friends wearing, not a reflection of who I was as a person.
Looking back at that, I regret my vision on how fashion was supposed to be. Fashion isn't what is in style at the time. Fashion isn't a reflection of the trends in magazines. Fashion is especially not a set style. Those who don't follow the trends aren't considered unfashionable. In fact, fashion is what is fashionable to you. If you are really diggin' on those suede booties at Forever 21, then go for it! If you are eyeing that black fringe cardigan at Target, do it! AND if you are envying that oversized sweater at the nearest thrift shop, don't let anyone stop you from going for it! That is what is so intriguing and exciting about fashion! No matter who are, where you live, and what you do, you can have your own personalized style that fits your personality.
When I first started brainstorming ideas for my blog, I knew I wanted to showcase many different styles and ideas. I also knew for my first post, I wanted to show everyone what trends would get me up and running at three in the morning on Black Friday for.
Floral. That is my thing. Floral everything. I love floral shirts, floral pants, floral scarves. Anything floral and you've got me. This floral shirt would be my go to date top.

When I was searching the racks at Olive Ave, I saw this little blouse, and I fell in love. Not only is it one of the most comfortable tops I have ever worn, but it could be worn for almost every occasion. School, a date, a party, you name it! If you were to take a peek into my closet, this shirt would definitely make the cut.
And let me tell you about these pants from Olive Ave. I am in LOVE with high waisted skinny jeans, and these were no exception. The material of these jeans were more than I could have ever imagined. As soon as I slipped these on, I felt like I was walking around in pajamas. Pajamas, ladies! And don't pretend that you wouldn't want to feel like you are walking around in pajamas all day. I know I would!
Also, for all you girls with small waists and bigger booties, I know the struggle of finding pants that fit you perfectly. I always have to end up wearing a belt or pulling up my pants 24/7. With these beauties, I don't have to worry about either. They shaped perfectly on my waist and fit on my thighs wonderfully as well. What could be better than that!?

Last, but not least, the Daisy Booties. Olive Ave always does well with their varieties of booties. These ones are no exception. As much as I love these shoes, you all will have to wait to hear my full opinion on them until next blog. I will be doing a full feature story on these cute little booties, so stay tuned!!

Hope you all enjoyed getting to know my sense of style a little better and hope you stay tuned for more blog posts! Here are all the links of the featured items in this post:
