Layering is Key

It's getting cold outside, girls, and proper measures must be taken! But that doesn't mean we don't have to look cute while doing it! ;)

Winter is one of my favorite fashion seasons. I love the vests, hats, boots, sweaters, pretty much everything! Layering is the key to Winter fashion. Not only does it add levels to your outfit, but it keeps you nice and toasty when the cold days do come!

I tried on an outfit from Olive Ave this past week that just screamed Winter to me!

This mustard colored vest was the inspiration for this winter-themed outfit. As soon as I saw this vest in Olive Ave, I knew I wanted to feature it. Mustard is a trending color right now and vests are making a big come back as well. Not only do vests look cute, they keep you warm while giving off a fashionable sense of style. Plus, bright colors like mustard make you stand out more! Isn't that what we are all striving for in the fashion world? To be unique. Mustard gives you that sense of originality while not being too bold.

Patches on sleeves are another trend that has made a huge hit this year. They add pizzazz to what might be a seemingly boring shirt. I, personally, really like the trend. I think it adds a different level to what is popular in fashion these days!

And, can I please just talk about these shoes for a minute?

Like how can you not fall in love with them? They flatter any shape or size of feet and are also just beautiful to look at. These shoes, in my opinion, are aesthetically pleasing. Not only do they please the eyes, but they are actually quite practical. While wearing them, my feet were never in extreme pain. Cute and practical. Why not invest in these beauties, right?

Lastly, remember layering is key in dressing for the Winter! With this outfit, it was very easy to adjust depending on the change in weather throughout the day. The layers can easily be taken off to show off a whole new outfit or to simply adjust to the world around you.
